The Township Supervisor is the Township's legal agent.  He/She is also responsible for moderating board and annual meetings, is the secretary of the Board of Review and is the chief assessing officer - overseeing the Township Assessor.  The Township Supervisor is also a member of the election commission and appoints some of the other township commission's members.  Each fiscal year, he/she presents the proposed budget to the board for review.  

The Township Supervisor is not required to have a deputy and does not need to post a surety bond.
